Summary
Cassy Padgett is the BSN Track Leader at the Orvis School of Nursing, where she has worked since 2020. Before transitioning to nursing education full time, she worked in several hospitals throughout Northern Nevada, with most of her clinical experience in adult critical care.
At the Orvis School of Nursing, Padgett has served in a variety of roles, including clinical faculty member, course instructor across all levels, clinical coordinator, lab coordinator and curriculum committee chair. Her teaching philosophy centers on a whole-person approach to nursing education, with an emphasis on helping students develop not only the knowledge and clinical skills needed for practice, but also the confidence, resilience and professional identity needed to become compassionate and capable nurses.
She is especially passionate about student mentorship, faculty development and creating supportive learning environments where students can grow and succeed. She is also committed to developing innovative, high-quality curriculum that prepares students for the evolving demands of the nursing profession.
