Associate Professor of Management

Summary

Before earning her Ph.D. in Business Administration, Dr. Hu built over a decade of international management experience, serving in leadership roles across operations and quality management. Drawing on these real-world insights, her academic research examines the intersection of leadership, morality, and social cognition—exploring how leaders influence decision-making, motivation, and interpersonal dynamics in an organizational context. Her work has been published in leading academic journals, including The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Studies.

Since joining the Management Department at the Ƶ in 2016, Dr. Hu has taught Principles of Management, Advanced Topics in Organizational Behavior, and doctoral seminars in Organizational Behavior and Graduate Research. She is also deeply involved in training and mentoring doctoral students. Through her teaching and mentorship, Dr. Hu strives to help students connect management theory with real-world leadership practice and personal growth.
